What is Addiction Treatment?

Addiction treatment is more than just quitting drugs or alcohol. The goal of treatment is to help you change your undesirable behaviors and replace negative thought processes with positive ones. Treatment looks different for different people, but a good rehab program will allow you to detox from your substance, work through underlying causes of addiction, and develop tools to avoid relapse.

California Highlands offers all of these things, and we do so in a social, secure, and fun way. You will feel at home at our facility and enjoy spending time with others. Individuals in our program participate eagerly in our therapy sessions, because they know these are opportunities to grow, heal, and transform their lives.

Treatment in a Beautiful Setting

Addiction treatment is a time to get away from all the stress and anxiety of everyday life. When you come to our serene facility, you will immediately feel a sense of calm come over you. We utilize our beautiful aesthetic setting to help put your mind at ease, help promote relaxation, and facilitate true healing.

True healing is what we are all about. Our therapy sessions get to the heart of addiction. We will help you really understand why you have used drugs or alcohol and the impact it has had on your lives and that of your loved ones. Not until your addiction has been dissected and dealt with can you begin to heal and change your negative behaviors. Once these underlying thoughts, attitudes, and fears have been addressed, you can live without the crutch of drugs or alcohol.

Types of Treatment

Types of Treatment

Addiction treatment can consist of many different models and therapy types. Residential treatment allows you to be monitored 24/7 and participate in therapy and programming for most of the day. Outpatient treatment is a step down from a residential program, and offers treatment in a less structured environment.

Therapy modalities are numerous and a treatment plan should be based on your unique needs. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Yoga Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing are just a few of the effective modalities available. All of these therapies are designed to help you transform your thoughts, attitudes, and actions so that you can live a sober life.
